April 1923

Tohizo Kawaguchi established Kawaguchi Electric Works at Kaigan-dori, Shiba-ku, Tokyo.

Manufacture of switchboard parts, delivering to the Ministry of Communications (present Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corp.)
Designated by the Ministry of Communications as an authorized manufacturer.
March 1943 Amalgamated with Tokyo Wireless.
May Company was renamed Kawaguchi Electric Works Co., Ltd. and capitalized at 1,000,000 yen.
July 1944 The plant was transferred to 37, Iino-machi, Date-gun, Fukushima.
January 1949 The sales office was transferred to Sanko-cho, Shirogane, Minato-ku, Tokyo.
May Shirogane Plant was newly established at Sanko-cho, Shirogane, Minato-ku, Tokyo.
May 1955 The Scientific Measurement Business Dept. was newly established.
  Making inroads in the field of measurement under the guidance of the Faculty of Engineering, Tohoku University.
  Manufacture of No.1000 lightning arrester spring.
May 1956 Head Office was transferred to Sanko-cho, Shirogane, Minato-ku, Tokyo.
July 1963 The capital was increased to 50,000,000 yen.
September Kenichi Kawaguchi took office as president.
March 1965 Approved by the Science and Technology Agency as a company commissioned to develop the Raman spectrometer.
October 1966 A new plant was completed at Fujigara, Meiji, Iino-machi, Date-gun, Fukushima.
